The food is delicious. The wait time is absolutely atrocious. We came today after coming last weekend because as stated the food is VERY good but we waited an hour and 15 minutes for our entrees.
This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants on Long Island. I am Italian, and a former chef trained in Italy, so I hope you value my opinion. The restaurant ambiance, staff, food, service are all exceptional. We were a party of four, my father and mother, and my husband and I, celebrating our birthdays (my father and I). Nice Italian restaurant with a nice environment
We used to like LaVolpe and have had many good meals there and for a while we were quite regular and Anton ordering the Brick oven vegetarian pizza. We went back recently, June 2026 to have one of the worst meals ever. I requested pasta society with lots of visible sardines, and I got one bite with about a third of an inch of sardine, my husband‘s strawberry arugula salad, which she’s ordered for years was barely the size of a pasta salad.
