The Organization just renamed themselves (and I'm having a senior moment), yet the displays are set in logical order. Not exclusively a World War or Shortwave listener or AM Broadcast display but more what each was doing as the other existed. I absolutely love this museum! The person who led our tour was a font of knowledge. It was great watching a live demonstration of the telegraph. I would go back in a heartbeat especially since I'm a ham radio operator.
This place is the passion project of an engineer collector and just-as-passionate volunteers who keep it going through the decades. (Like most things) WiFi is not new. More sophisticated, more capable, more accessible? Definitely! Depending on your interest and degree of geekiness, you can stay the day or an hour. I'm grateful they let me in an hour before closing. Went here in 2023(?) and still think about this place so often I decided to write a review for it. This is an amazing gem of a museum that explains the history of wireless technology from spark gap transmitters to modern cellphones. They have a huge collection of old radios, commercial and military, and a team of very knowledgeable folks who will answer all your questions.
