A real contender for Angelina's in the plaza next door. Still, plenty of space in DeLand for two amazing Italian restaurants. Anthony's achieves what few Italians do, which is a great pizza kitchen and an equally good pasta kitchen. Love the store kit, plus it is conveniently located. Plenty of parking.
Anthony’s in Deland is the best and closest thing to convenient authentic Italian food I’ve had since moving down from Rhode Island and I order from here a couple times a month. Their calamari could use some work as the pieces are large and chewy, but their pizza and pasta is outstanding. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is their soup is disproportionately expensive and I’m not sure why. They don’t offer pints or quarts of soup, only 6 oz cups for almost $9 a piece. I mistakenly posted my review at another location. This location used to be my favorite place growing up but the owners have hired the most rude disrespectful staff. I was with my baby and I was told the stroller was “in the way” so I got up and sat at another booth but then was told I couldn’t sit there and they were unable to accommodate me and my family. Apparently according to the cashier the owner (the two owners I guess) were the ones making it difficult for us to find a booth to sit at. That tells me enough about how ... read more
