They quoted me an outrageous price for replacing a hose hydrant. They also charge a fee just to show up your house. I saved $546 on this one item by getting a handyman by the name of Handydad to fix it for me instead. Lesson learned. For known plumbing problems consider hiring a small handyman/plumber operation that doesn’t charge for visits. They will likely be a lot cheaper and given their small operation and lack of advertising budget they will have to rely on good reviews and word of mouth to expand their business.
