I was referred to Dr. Smith following a recent breast cancer diagnosis, and from day one through now post–major surgery, he has been nothing but professional, informative, and deeply compassionate. He took the time to explain every step of the process and made an incredibly difficult experience feel manageable. Just had an appointment for my mother with Dr. Smith. He was incredibly kind, informative, and had a great bedside manner. He eased our fears and concerns but also provided factual and direct information.
This surgeon Anthony Smith operated on me to repair a Umbilical Hernia. He had no bed side manners, did not discuss the product that would be used to repair the hernia. I had no idea there were a few ways or procedures this could be done. I trusted him as a medical provider. The incision site became infected, had to be reopened in parragon office, took a while to heal up. I had all kinds of pain especially with my groin and right leg. Due to Covid I feel like he did not take the time needed with me. When I went in for 1week post surgery I told him that I was leaking fluid and the seam was opening. He stood 6feet away and told me it was fine just keep gauze on it. I called his office a couple days later and told him I was standing in a puddle of bodily fluid. They said he said to tell me if it was clear I would be fine. I didn't get to meet Dr.Smith until morning of my surgery but he came in on time and was very pleasant. He explained how the procedure would be done in an easy professional way. Did an excellent job on procedure and I experienced no pain afterward. When I went back in for my two week follow up he answered all questions I had and removed my staples.once again he was very pleasant and professional. Would definitely recommend/use again. The procedure was for a large cyst I had on the back on my head.
