As always, great. Couldn't ask for more from a treating physician.
Dr. Dakwar has been my doctor for 3 1/2 years now. He was the one to tell me the staging of my tumor and the doctor to tell me that my tumor had a complete response to treatment and we could watch and wait now. I luckily haven’t needed surgery but he continues to monitor the tumor location to make sure it isn’t coming back. He is a great doctor and is both professional AND has a sense of humor AND really cares about his patients.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Dakwar and the whole surgery team. I have colorectal cancer, and I was terrified of the surgery I needed to have (a lower anterior resection). Dr. Dakwar was calm and confident every time we interacted, and he made me feel better as a result, even right before the surgery. I went into the surgery not knowing whether or not I would have a temporary ileostomy, and he managed to give me a low anastomosis without the need for an ileostomy. I'm so grateful.
