In Feb 2018 he did my first knee replacement . He put one in the was too big for my knee and caused horrible problems that have ultimately ruined my leg . I had to have a revision in Oct 2018 to put the appropriate size replacement in . But the damage was already done . I wish I could give him zero stars ! He is horrible !
Dr. Nwakama seems very competent and thorough. I was pleased with my surgery, however, I feel he seems over worked and communication between my self and him is difficult. I am not happy with the care I’m receiving after my surgery and I feel he should have been more thorough in treating for my discomfort and care for healing. A patient should not feel like a burden. All and all I would say it seems as if it’s a hurry up and have surgery and then your on your own.
Dr. Nwakama has operated on me on two different occasions . The first was for a fractured wrist and the second was a knee replacement. In both instances, he showed that he is a highly competent surgeon who is greatly concerned about the welfare of his patient. For example, the wrist injury happened as we were leaving for a vacation. Dr. Nwakama added the surgery on to the end of an already long surgical day so that my vacation would not be totally ruined. That level of concern is rare.
Greeting, Recently I had a need for an orthopedic to repair my hand and went to " Southwest Minnesota Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Inc." Where I meet" Anthony Nwakama, MD " and His " Staff " All are, kind, professional, caring, courteous, Anthony Nwakama and his Staff Are all truly knowledgeable And Dedicated to their Patients !!! I Feel fortunate to have met Anthony Nwakama and his Staff that day they are Experts in all they do. Sincerely Eric

went in for surgery. as soon as my ride left i was told it would be delayed around a hr. i waited two hrs with no one telling me anything, also the nurse took the catheter out before she was sapposed to
