Great park to see some of the most beautiful hills full of poppies in California. Pack some water and snacks and check the weather. Go when it’s sunny. The rain effects the poppies.
We were here in June and it was very dry with no bloom in sight. It was very windy depending on which part of the trail we were on, crazy strong wind.

The poppy’s here are absolutely amazing ! I have never seen anything like this . Definitely a must see .
Very nice place to get away from all the craziness of the world. The main entrance is closed but you can access other parts of the reserve if you have a suv or truck with high ground clearance otherwise your vehicle will get damaged. Highly recommend for a getaway in the country with the family. Pack some drinks and snacks with a few fold up chairs and your all set.
