Dr. Chawla is cheerful and upbeat with patients and is willing to come up with good ideas. His explanations are good and understandable. His nurse is helpful and his appointments are unrushed and on-time. Can’t recommend anyone higher.

Horrible! Waited to see the doctor (my first visit mind you), and after 1 hour of waiting I left. Very unprofessional office personnel.
Unfortunately, going to Dr. Chawla was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made. He refused to do a stool culture. Instead, he did a colonoscopy, a biopsy and ordered a $700 Prometheus sgi IBD test (my insurance only covered half). He prescribed me a medication that made my bleeding and pain far worse. I went for a second opinion and found out he didn't even take the proper samples from the biopsy. Turns out I have C Diff - something he refused to test for. Negligent and arrogant.
