Nails were popping up all over the deck boards and a step had gone spongy underfoot. Decklyn pulled the bad boards, screwed everything back down properly, ond the step is solid again. it doesn't creak anymore and nothing catches o bare foot out there now.
First thing I noticed was they really listened to what I wanted instead of pushing a bigger job. Quote was clear and the repair got done in two days.deck is sturdy now and the new boards blend right in with the old ones
Got a quote from Decklyn after putting off the deck for almost two summers. They were patient with my questions, scheduled us about a week out, and kept me posted when the start day shifted by a morning. Work itself was quick. Paid what they quoted, no suprises tacked on at the end.
Called Decklyn because my deck was rough. Boards splintering, a spot by the steps that flexed when you stepped on it, and the stain was patchy everywhere. The guy who came to look at it walked the whole deck with me and explained what was actually a safety issue versus what was just ugly. I had no clue what I was looking at before that. deck was in pretty rough shape, some of the railing was wobbly and a few boards had soft spots that made me nervous walking on. Decklyn came out and gave us a really clear breakdown of what needed fixing vs what was still fine. i looked at a couple other companies in Orland Park before going with them and the price was reasonable. they swapped out the bad boards, tightened up the railing, and sanded and stained everything so it all matched. took maybe two days total which was fine by me. the stain color actually looks better... read more
