She's alright. Wasn't my cup of tea. I got a strong feeling that she did not like me. She made a couple comments that led me to think this. She also didn't seem to think before she spoke. For example, when I told her about marrying my opposite she stated, "that won't work." She approaches therapy in a very traditional, heteronormative way, which for me was not what I needed. She also told me I should go to AA (at the time, I drank maybe 2-3 drinks a week), which felt a bit out line to me because I wasn’t expressing concerns about my drinking habits. It took me three years to try therapy again because I left her office feeling so blamed for things, and was concerned I would have to experience that again. Very religious undertones in our sessions too.

Very folksy and unprofessional. I don't see how she has a PhD. She isn't qualified to talk about serious issues like trauma and abuse, and most of the time in our sessions was just bla bla bla and weird advice. Some advice was as follows, don't set hopes high to get disappointed, get back together with ppl who hurt you... I'm guessing the last one was because she's religious. She's clearly very righteous. There's the right way, Annette way. Lastly, she stopped responding to me and she doesn't care how her former patients are... read more
