We had a lovely three day stay. The host Bob and staff Lynette were friendly and helpful. The room was reasonably well appointed— the only issue was that we kept whacking ourselves on the concealed but obtruding bedframe (Keewaydin). The location couldn’t be better— an easy walk to town, Acadia shuttles, and waterfront without being in the noisy middle of it all. My husband and I had a delightful 2-night stay. We loved the convenience of being downtown. The Inn was charming and our first floor room even had a private porch. Rob took great care of us and Andy as well. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and there was plenty of cookies and coffee at all times. Thank you.
I'll start with the positives: - Location — Extremely walkable to almost every must-see in Bar Harbor. - Hot breakfast — We appreciated the thoughtful progression: fresh fruit first, then baked goods with bacon and sausage. We decided to shorten our stay after our travel plans changed unexpectedly and informed the caretaker that we would be checking out early. Rather than simply processing our departure, we were told to wait and explain ourselves to the owner. When the owner arrived, her approach immediately felt confrontational. She questioned why we were leaving and proceeded to lecture us about how bed and breakfasts operate, explaining that our reserved dates had been blocked off and could not be rebooked.
