The breakfast was very good (even for someone who doesn’t like eggs, the quiche was great). Service was flawless. Owner Bob walks around during breakfast and chats with guests. Location couldn’t be beat. Within walking distance to the main shopping area and we saved a lot of money not having to park downtown as well as having breakfast here every morning. Came from Arizona to Bar Harbor for the first time. Anne called personally to check in on me and confirm the arrival time. Stayed in the Witchcliffe room which was so cute. Extremely fast and yummy breakfast each morning. My only complaint is the water temperature in sink and shower fluctuates and is very annoying, and no wall outlet for charging next to bed. Stay here, it’s nice! Close to everything!
Lovely little inn right near everything downtown. We stayed in Witchcliff and were quite comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic both days, and we definitely left full! We actually took the breakfast pastries on the road with us for hiking snacks during the day. All of the staff were fantastic and friendly, too, and had great suggestions for what to see, do, and eat. Great location close to downtown bar harbor. Easy walk to village green to take the island explorer shuttle into the park. The owner Bob is a friendly man who we enjoyed chatting with. Andy does a great job keeping the rooms clean and serves breakfast. He is kind and helpful. He gave us ice for our water bottles before we set out to hike. They serve a full breakfast complete with protein which we appreciated as we hiked everyday and wanted some fuel before hand! Overall though I didn’t really enjoy the breakfast too much.
