Waited 8 hours before finally deciding to leave, even though I was in worse pain than when I arrived, and almost passed out in the waiting room while the staff watched. The computer system was supposedly down and had been for a week.

People at “triage area” desk are callous. They are short on patience and lack empathy for the sick folks
If I could give ZERO stars I would I had a terrible experience at this emergency room. I arrived around 7:00 p.m. because of chest tightness and concerns about a possible blood clot. After my bloodwork came back, a nurse told me that my D-dimer was higher than normal and that I was waiting to be seen by a doctor. I don’t recall the nurses name but she was young and was the cordial nurse I’ve met at AAMC yet. She obviously has a passion and carrying for people. I was in tears because I just lost my husband and she grabbed my face and said I had nothing to be sorry for. That meant more to me than anything. I wish I knew her net meme, she was a complete angel. Thank you sweetie your words were heard and felt.
