Arrived at 5:30pm with a serious medical issue that needed to be addressed quickly. Was not seen until 12am, did not get discharged till 5:30am.
Go here if you want a 4 hour wait for less than 60 seconds with a physician who sends you elsewhere. I been here three times and each time I wonder why I even bother with a hospital that tells you nothing, doesn’t treat you, and basically acts like you should be anywhere but there. Saw a bunch of elderly slip and falls moaning through the walkway without any assistance to the front desk.
Not sure about overall since they were overloaded and we ended up leaving BUT ONE STAR EMPLOYEE stuck out. Tony (in the Er) seemed to be the only person on staff showing any signs of empathy for the elderly waiting in the hall since no rooms. He assisted me not only once but three times- helping us enormously! SHOUT OUT TO TONY!
I was dreading coming here with my child at 11pm on NYE, thinking they would be slammed and we would be there waiting forever. But the pediatrician was to be closed the next day and my child really needed help with croup. We were surprised to see we were the only ones there and my child was tended to promptly! We rang in the New Year in the pediatric ER but they had us in and out within one hour of arriving. I could not believe it. The staff were all wonderful as well. My dad was transferred from urgent care to the ER for acute onset of AMS and high blood sugar. The NP at urgent care felt it was a metabolic issue. Dad was left in the waiting room despite the acute onset of AMS and high blood sugar. When he finally got to a room they tested him for flu and gave an xray though his lungs were clear and equal bilaterally. + flu, they then discharged him.
