We had decent service at Anna’s House—our order was taken quickly, but the food took quite a while to come out. When it finally did, I was honestly shocked. My “waffle” looked like something fit for a toddler—tiny, underwhelming, and definitely not worth the price. My boyfriend’s eggs Benedict were decent, but nothing special. Ana’s House in Okemos is a complete scam. The waffle I ordered was literally the size of a kids meal, and they charged an extra $1.25 just to toss a few blueberries on top. On top of that, they wanted 50 cents for TWO tomato slices. Absolutely ridiculous. The service was just as bad – our server barely checked on our table the entire time, and we felt ignored. The wait time on the weekend can be over an hour. We used yelp to get on the waitlist with an expected table at 11:30am but didn’t get seated until 12pm. Food arrived at 12:45pm… quite a while to wait when you’re hungry. There are a lot of servers running around although they are not always responsive. The corned beef is always incredible which was the saving grace of the eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were extremely overcooked.
