Prior the surgery on 02/26/24, I have 2 small kidney stones: 1 6 mm and 1 8mm in the left kidney. In the pre-surgery meeting on 1/1/24, the doctor told me those could be easily grabbed out by tools via bladder entry since the lithotripsy procedure was not effective for uric acid stones. After the surgery, from the CT scan on 05/17/24, I’ve found out there are 3 stones appeared in the same area of the left kidney: 1 6mm, 1 3mm, and 1 2mm. I was yelled at, scolded, talked down to and accused of questioning her as a surgeon because I told her she has no right to tell a patient their stones, cyst and malrotated kidney aren’t causing them pain. I said this after she told me there’s no way I’m in pain from any of those three issues that I have with my kidney(s). Received excellent care while undergoing kidney stone surgery. Very skilled, thorough caring. Outstanding bedside manner! Highly recommend!

Dr Zampini was an outstanding surgeon. I had two surgeries to remove kidney stones. She was exceedingly professional and made sure I was prepared. She has an excellent bed side manner and her ability to explain the process in understandable terms made me very comfortable with her as my surgeon.
