Took the time to go over everything
Her demeanor and deportment. She was compassionate. She gave me all the time I needed to have my concerns heard. She changed my life. Between her and working with a physical therapist, I came in with a cane, and six months later, I'm now using hiking polls to walk up to 30 minutes every day, adding two minutes every other week; it's stamina, not pain, that limits me now.
I echo every positive comment made by other patients of Dr. Monroe. She is knowledgeable, kind, caring, ethical and an excellent clinician in my opinion. Her office is very well run and the staff is equally pleasant and professional in their interactions.

The office manager called me back and tried to gaslight me with another version of events. I corrected her and redirected her to listen to the phone calls. At that time I had a future appointment with Dr Monroe. But I also filed a complaint with Holland Hospital regarding what happened in the office, which felt like an appropriate move after the office staff blocked any attempts to communicate this (what I would think was an unusual situation but sounds now like it’s common) to the doctor - like she had encouraged me to do b... read more
Dr. Monroe was very thorough, reviewed my past history, listened to my concerns, explained her findings, explained possible treatments and answered my specific questions and concerns. She is compassionate and made me feel comfortable to share my concerns. She made sure to review the meds prescribed and provided printed info. I was assured her office would be in contact with me to see how I was doing in two weeks and a follow up visit was scheduled.
Dr Monroe is my favorite medical person; she doesn't stick needles in me; she doesn't make me take my clothes off; and she laughs at my stupid jokes; BTW..She's a real professional too!!!
I can not say enough about how excellent this physician is. She is compassionate, caring and through. She follows up on everything she say she is going to. Her assistant Cecelia is also great. I have recommended this doctor to friends who also think she is great.
The best overall experience from any doctor. She was informative personable and compassionate. I have never had a bad experience under her care.
