My initial surgery—a fusion at L5–S1—was successful. Although Dr. Carr’s bedside manner was cold, I was satisfied with the outcome. I followed all post-operative instructions, including quitting smoking and maintaining an active lifestyle, and was in good health with no pain. After a car accident, a screw in my fusion broke. During my initial appt, i was hopeful and really liked her. Had decompression surgery of my peroneal nerve. The CAUSE of this issue was never addressed despite me asking repeatedly. (Possible autoimmune related to back/hip/joints) Immediately following the surgery, she didnt come speak with my husband OR show up in recovery to talk to me. I was given various instructions for post op that didnt make sense.
