I feel like the most important and most valuable skill I?ve learned being a general surgeon is having compassion for your patients. A lot of times were seeing them on the worst day of their lives. And you?re having difficult discussions with them, so, it can be hard for them to understand what you?re saying and what you?re offering them. Just being patient and compassionate can get you a long way with a patient.

Dr DeBartolo was very thorough and compassionate with my care. She explained all procedures in a way that I could understand what was happening. I highly recommend her.
