So so disappointed with Ankeny Bark Avenue. We have taken our dog there for several years for boarding & during our most recent stay, when I picked him up on May 21st, something was definitely wrong. When we got home, my dog wouldn't come to me, wouldn't turn his head to look at me, wouldn't eat, nothing. I called Ankeny Bark Avenue immediately & spoke to a gentleman about my concerns & he told me that a manager would call me back after 5:00 as they were busy checking dogs in/out. Don't purchase their day-care package. Total scam. If you can't use it all, you don't get your money back. When they recommend you to purchase the day-care package, they don't tell you that the money cannot be used toward other services such as boarding and grooming. When I called the daycare and requested to speak to a manager, I was put on hold for 30 mins.
