A lack of empathy from an organization that is supposed to care. On May 1st I adopted an incredible cat, he was meowing more than any other cat I’ve met and I was concerned he was lonely. I called AWL to ask about the cats history. I was told he came into the shelter with 13 other cats and there was a chance he was lonely. They recommended waiting a few weeks for him to adjust & that I may want to adopt another cat if it didn’t resolve. I waited until May 28th and went to adopt another cat so he could have a companion.
