I’m extremely disappointed in this rescues questionable policies and the lack of professionalism and communication from their staff. My husband and I have been talking for a few months about rescuing a second chihuahua and saw that the Animal Welfare League had quite a few. I called the rescue and was rudely told that in order to see a dog, an application had to be filled out and it would be 24-48 hours before we hear back from someone (poor dogs 🥺). Rude people! They have no form over matter. I just asked a simple question as to when the 1 and only 1 person that reviews the applications would be in to review the applications. One girl over the counters yells don't worry when he will be in, just worry about when he calls you. It must be hard to find good help when the peopel that represents your organization answers that way. How can you possibly allow that!

This place has changed a lot! I always went to AWL to find my dogs or cats. The past 2 weeks they act as though they really don't want to sell any animals. We went in there filled out an app. They call a couple of days later to tell me about some kittens. They did not tell me I need an appt. Went there on a Sat morning early, to make an appt. and the person we needed to talk to wasn't in so couldn't make an appt. We left message for a phone call, NO call. I hate this place,my dog was puking blòod and they told me to bring my dog home and wait 2/3 days for results.l They sent me home with him. In less Then 2 hours my dog passed. I went back to ask why and they lied. Said they told Me my dog needed baby food and syringes. My dog needed emergency surgery if my baby got that he may very well still be with me today....I will Never recommend this place to anyhow!! They should be out of business! So so Not bring your pet here!!!
