They are breaking important ground, by establishing that non-human animals deserve legal protection, that they are NOT property of humans. ALDF gets results that matter, short and long-term.

I love ALDF and have supported their work for years. Even if you can't spare much money to donate, please follow ADLF and read their alerts - they notify us when to make phone calls and send emails, with suggested scripts for if you're not used to doing this. They have lawyers who fight to protect animals from abuse and torture, and they provide help to resource-strapped prosecutors in cruelty cases - but they can't do it all without the support of us animal lovers!
