I adopted a pup about 7 years ago. Took her to the vet and she had Hematomas in her ears. The Humane Society fixed those. The free vet visit told me that she probably had a kidney problem so I took her back to the Humane Society. They kept her for a couple of days and ran tests to show that this vet was wrong. When I adopt another dog I hope I'm near New Mexico go get another one from here.
