We went here for a couple years before moving to Oregon. When we first brought our dog I didn't love the open room conversations. They take the pet to the back for the exam then bring them out to the waiting room and go over everything in front of others waiting. This was not a good experience for me. I came to Dr. Ashton after the Veterinary hospital I had originally worked at had NOTHING but amazing things to say about her and the clients that we would refer to her would come back to us for their recheck and have outstanding things to say as well. My dog grew an eye lid growth and I was very worried so I took him straight to her and my visit was nothing short of amazing. Called to see about bringing my dog in with an eye ulcer. The lady that answered the phone was very rude. Don’t know how they’ll bring people in. Will never do business with this place and other people shouldn’t either.
I had taken my dog Koda to my local vet because her eyes were red and cloudy. They prescribed antibiotic drops and told me not to use the steroid drops I had already bought. Within two weeks, her eyes became extremely cloudy, and she was nearly blind. Worried my 6-year-old dog was going to lose her vision completely, I decided to come here. Took our Great Dane to have his cherry eye evaluated. Worst experience with a vet I have ever encountered. She was so aggressive with him, wanted him shoved in a corner to try to stick something in his eye. Called him rude because he was fighting having something stuck in his eye and when I mentioned that he doesn’t act like this with his vet, her reply was “then take him to his vet and have him evaluated”.
