As it turns out, my dog had kennel cough, but I didn't know it at the time and was worried, so since it was 11 pm, I called the emergency clinic to get information. The woman who answered seemed annoyed for some reason, and was very abrupt with me to the point where it sounded like she was discouraging me from bringing my dog in.
