I walked in with my wife's cat, she had an abscess wound, although she was healthy and in good condition otherwise. To start with, they charged me $80 for just shaving a tiny patch and taking a look at it; then they presented me with an ~$880 estimate for a surgical procedure to cure the wound, meds, etc.; when I refused to proceed right there and right then because I wanted a second opinion, I was forced to sign an Against Medical Advice Form, in order to get the animal back.
