I have been battling Crohns Disease for 17 years. Battling flares for about 11 of those years. I’m very disappointed with my experience with this Doctor and the office personnel. I was given this script by my primary, I scheduled the appointment and was told to go to outpatient in Capital Health, Hopewell. I waited almost 2 hours in a hospital bed, and the front desk never told my husband that Dr. Balani was backed up. Dr. Balani never came into the room before hand to speak to me, like I was told by the nurse. After all was done, they gave me paperwork and rolled me downstairs for pick up. Waited over a year for an appointment and procedure was not performed properly. Avoid this practice.
I was referred to Dr. Balani by a friend. He is amazing! He is very thorough and doesn't treat you like a number, he treats you like a person. He follows up after procedures and will answer any question you ask him. He also has an excellent sense of humor. I won't go to any other GI specialist. His staff is also excellent.
I have had several visits with Dr. Balani over the years for various ailments. He has always patiently listened to my concerns. He has given me sound advice and options on how to progress with treatment. I would recommend Dr. Balani for gastro concerns and treatment.
