I had 22 oz really ribeye that smelled so much better than it tasted. It was as soft as butter, but tasted like I licked the bottom of my shoe! There was absolutely NO seasoning of any kind on the steak or the shrimp, and the lobster tail was rubbery! The highlight of the meal was the stuffed potatoes and the company. After hearing about the restaurant for years, we expected more. The atmosphere was wonderful, but the food was disappointing .
Sadly last night was the worst food I have ever had from the angus barn. There were eggs in my wedge salad (ew), the bacon on my filet was burnt, the oysters were disgusting (and river not coastal oysters even though I asked ahead of time). Both our steaks had to be sent back because they were tremendously undercooked. The steak also had no flavor whatsoever. Yikes. I’ll choose a different restaurant in the future.
