We were in the area after going to Pilot Mountain. While exploring downtown Mount Airy, we happened to stop in to grab some food. The establishment its self was above our expectations. It was much larger than it appeared on the outside. Lots, and I mean lots of TV's. My wife ordered a gluten free meal, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. I had the Philly cheese steak. We stopped in Mt Airy as a stopover on our way to Charleston SC and it was kind of late in the evening but we hadn't had dinner so we asked the hotel clerk if there was a place to grab food that wasn't fast food and he suggested Angry Troll. So we went. We ordered the Caprese salad, delicious, beer battered fries, very very good but a little too much salt, the pimento burger and the grilled chicken sandwiches, both were wonderful. Great selection of beer and excellent food! Friendly welcoming staff too!
