I went into this beauty supply store quickly to grab ONE item. I did have an ice cream cone in my hand, and the young lady at the register politely told me, “Excuse me, ma’am, please be careful because we really don’t allow food in here.” I immediately apologized and explained that I was only grabbing one thing and already knew exactly where it was. This beauty supply store is uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I was treated like a potential thief, and the owner’s attitude toward the workers was tense and inconsiderate. There’s always a high turnover — I never see the same employees, and these are beautiful women of color who deserve better.I refuse to spend my money somewhere that treats customers and workers with disrespect. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
