I cannot express this enough DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! My dog needed an emergency Pyometra surgery that was going to cost over $1500 at my regular vet, I obviously couldn't afford that so they suggested I contact Angels Vet Express because they heard that they could do the surgery for a much lower cost. After my epxirence there the term "You get what you paid for" just kept ringing in my ears! I came here to get my dog life saving care for a price I could afford and instead bringing her here cost me SO MUCH MORE after ... read more
Angels Vet Express is THE BEST! I have a Great Dane "Sam" he is my heart! I had adopted him from a family who lived out on a farm. Around 6 months old he contracted parvo and he was very very ill. "The reason why you have to wait outside" with your pet is because Parvo is very contagious and they have other customers pets that are inside the facility that may contract it, and they come outside to you! Angels took Sam in and keep in mind this was on a Saturday and it was an emergency! Sam was admitted and treated and when I c... read more
Fantastic care at cost! Kind, compassionate & caring! I've taken my dogs to Angel's since we first found out about them. When we first moved to Atchison I found Vet bills to be OUTRAGEOUS! We fell upon hard times but our dogs still needed care. It's true that Angel's once used to be a little dirty but they've remodeled and it's a very nice small clinic. Yes, they have a lot of volunteers but EVERYONE cares immensely for the animals they treat (which I may say are quite a variety) as they are also an animal rescue facility an... read more
Hank, owned by Anita J and seen by Dr. Kimber Anita J gives a bunch of credit to Angel's and Dr. Kimber for saving Hank's life but she's the one who saved Hank's life. Anita knew Hank was ADR (ain't doin right)....heading into a holiday weekend many folks would have taken a wait and see attitude and attended to holiday duties like shopping, cooking, cleaning the house because relatives were coming...but Anita set aside holiday duties and took her Hank to the vet instead. It saved his life. His was a surgical emergency and a ... read more

Life Savers We took our dog to Angels because he was not acting his usual self. We didn't have an appointment but were served quickly as a walk-in. Hank is a great reader of people, and he took to Dr. Kimber immediately. As a result of her thorough line of questioning, knowledge, and experience, an x-ray was ordered. A possible blockage and exploratory surgery was deemed necessary. After three grueling hours of surgery, and removal of eight inches of his intestines, Hank survived. Had Angels staff not been attentive and inqu... read more
Will Take All My Animals Here When my dog was diagnosed with a heart-worm at his regular vet, she said it would cost close to $1000 to treat it... then offered no payment plans, etc... I'm a grad student and that just wasn't going to be able to happen. I volunteered at a local shelter and met a woman who told me about AVE (Mshoogy's!). I called them and found out they would charge me only $198. Of course I was terrified, but I love my baby and had to get him treated. We recently had it done and I can say nothing but great th... read more
Knowledge abounds I have taken several of my lil' pets to this wonderful place and I am so pleased with the staff there. They are very sure about what they are doing and will take time to look at puppies right in your car so you don't expose them to anything else. I had 3 Stafford pups dropped off on me and when I took them in to get shots/worming/parvo testing and weigh in, I spent less on all 3 than I would have taking in 1 for an office visit anywhere else. TLC and devotion is the Key. Angels has it! It is a great place t... read more
The Best! Today was our first visit & our last sadly. We had to take our dog in to be put to sleep but he was an old dog anyway so it was for the best considering the fact that he had had a stroke the previous evening. The fact that their costs are so affordable & that they are a non profit organization should give people the want to support their business...they do it with their hearts not their minds!!! My heart goes to them PROS: Everything, they were very generous & kind CONS: Nothing
