Dr. Claudio is listed as a Neurologist, but when I called to schedule an appointment, I was told he only specializes in epilepsy and does not diagnose or treat dementia. While I understand that physicians often focus on specific areas, it was confusing and disappointing since neurologists are typically among the most qualified doctors to evaluate and manage dementia. The AdventHealth profile felt misleading, and clearer information about his specialty would have helped set the right expectations.
Dr. Claudio is not a bad doctor but his practice support and administration is horrible. You can’t just make an appointment to see him, he never seems to be available. You will find yourself calling over and over if you need help. He changed my dads medication which caused him to be unable to walk. I’ve been calling the office for 5 days because I need to speak to him urgently and we can’t get a hold of him. Now I find myself needing to guess medication adjustments for my dad with no support. Dr Angel Claudio doesn’t care about his patients. A family member that has been dealing with epilepsy for more than 60 years was not seen after being in the hospital with migraines. We were told that he will only see her if she was having seizures. WOW
