Established in 1873, the A&H Doddridge forge is now a working museum, thanks to dedicated volunteers. Visitors are taken back to a time when the blacksmith was the industrial heart of the village. The skills of our blacksmiths are on display at the forge every weekend. Custom items and repairs available by request. Tours by arrangement. Open Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 1-4pm.

Worth a visit, talkative hosts runs through the history without being asked. Lots of old, dusty that speaks history, stuff. When you go deeper you enter to another renovated building which is the museum, stuff to buy. Recommend. Leave a coin or two on your way out or in.
Step back in time to great to see.
We visited with the Grandchildren so they could complete a Children’s University Passport activity
