Dr McLennan was by far the most professional, caring, and courteous Dr I’ve ever encountered at Carilion. My husband had to get surgery on his wrist from falling out to a tree stand and the whole interaction was unforgettable. He made sure to go over everything with both of us and explain the process/ procedure. He had to do a nerve block on him and didn’t hesitate to make sure he was okay and once he realized he was getting nervous he continued to joke and talk to him while doing so. While having our second child my wife’s epidural was done very poorly. During our first child’s delivery there were no problems at all. She had side effects for weeks after and it’s the main reason we decided not to have more kids. When I asked about the bill and why we were expected to pay for something that didn’t work they said we have to pay no matter what. Trust me. If you want good competent doctors and good honest people go somewhere else.

Received my first bill/statement a month ago, today I received my first “final notice “ letter threatening to turn me over to collections and take legal action against me. Never, have I ever had a medical provider send such a despicable letter after 30 days. It goes on to say they tried to contact me numerous times which isn’t true at all. I never got a phone call, email or even a second statement reminding me the bill was due. One statement and a pathetic threat on a yellow piece of paper is all I received.
