I had a hysterectomy a few days ago at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Anesthesia Associates of Gainesville are the only anesthesiologists who work there(or so I was told). Dr Eric Shapiro was my anesthesiologist that day. He also had a few other team members helping. I’m assuming they were nurse anesthetists. They were all fantastic! Dr. Zimmerman's personal evaluation in pre-op room was comfortable and thorough. He was very pleasant and informative during his assessment of my condition before anesthesia pre-op. His sedative P.A. nurse ( the Z lady), was cheerful, bright and warm. No pain smooth sailing for a deep sleep in O.R. - deep breaths, out like a light before intubation. 2hrs later woke up fresh and energetic and alert in recovery.
