I had to go to Banner ER for severe pain, come to find out my gallbladder had torn and was rushed to surgery. Dr Olafsson saved me and took wonderful care of me! The hospital staff was wonderful and kind! Thank you Dr Olafsson!!!!
I don't understand some of the other reviews as I had an excellent experience with both Dr. Olafsson and his staff, especially his immediate assistant. He was the surgeon on call when I needed emergency surgery, and took care of my problem very well. I would however, say that if you want detailed answers you do have to ask for them, but then you are given what you need. I wouldn't hesitate to go to him again.
I am a very anxious person. I have anxiety disorder with any medical, surgery, dental procedures. From the moment I met dr. Olofsson in his office prior to my gallbladder surgery, he made me feel so at ease. I've never felt that way with another surgeon before ever. He's compassionate he's kind he's knowledgeable intelligent informative. He tells you everything up front and explains everything thoroughly which is very refreshing. I'm coming up on my third of 5 surgeries with him
My wife had surgery and dr. Olofsson made her feel very comfortable. She suffers from anxiety disorder with any medical procedure. After the surgery he came out to let me know she was okay and explained everything to me even bringing me pictures. Dr. Olofsson is very highly respected in my book
An amazing surgeon. I’ve had two major surgeries with Dr. Olafsson, one year apart. The first was an emergency to save my life, lost a few feet of intestines and had to have an ostomy placed. I was in such bad shape it require many more hours of surgery than anticipated, went late into the night. The 2nd surgery was to remove the ostomy (reversal). It was a perfect operation in every sense of the word.
Terrible ! I had my appendix removed and i got send home with out antibiotics ! I had terrible pain and fevers after the surgery ! It was a terrible experience
He was kind informative and very personable!
