I hated to give this doctor even one star after the way he treated my daughter during and after her surgery and our family. We waited all day to find out when she was going into surgery. When they finally got around to taking her in it was 4pm and they said it would take 2 hours and we had plenty of time to go eat. We hadn't been gone 45 minutes and we got a call. Dr. Wheeler is very unprofessional, he lets patients suffer in pain after surgery. He did not communicate with the family or patient after the surgery. The patient didn’t know what was done even after they went home. He’s lies about what he told the patient before surgery and after to cover himself. HE HAS NO COMPASSION!!!
Dr. Wheeler is amazing. He is very patient and understanding. He and his team have always listened to me. He performed my RNY in December 2021. I had developed a stricture and an ulcer. After trying everything we decided I needed a revision Jan 2025. While hospitalized his team we there every morning like clockwork to explain what was going on and my treatment.
