Dr. Schmitt exhibits all of the characteristics of an excellent Primary Care physician. He is knowledgeable on a wide range of ailments diagnoses, and medications. He listens very well and took the amount of time necessary to discuss every topic I brought up during my visit. The WVU staff was also outstanding. Suzy, the Medicare intake nurse, Savannah, the office nurse and Jeanie, the medical assistant were kind, responsive and very good at their respective jobs. I hope to be Dr. Schmidt’s patient well into the future.
I didn’t want to be this kind of honest, but think twice before this decision. For many years, my health was literally destroyed by this person. My own health insurance asked me to leave and gave me a list of doctors in Ohio. I finally did. My health conditions were corrected practically overnight, I returned to college and now work full time. Have always felt comfortable and gotten results . Very friendly atmosphere .
Does not listen to your health concerns. Does not care. Always pushing pills or pushing physical therapy or referral also when you take a stand on your health he turns into a very nasty dr I don't recommend him at all plus treats u like u r stupid along with his nursing staff. The only one who is nice is the referral nurse & the front desk girl. DO NOT GO TO THIS DR I'd give him zero stars but wouldn't allow me to.
