If you’re a female patient with possible hip dysplasia or hypermobility, I strongly recommend seeing a true hip preservation specialist (such as the American Hip Institute) before proceeding with FAI surgery by Dr. Riff. I saw Dr. Riff at IBJI for hip pain and was diagnosed with hip impingement and a labral tear and was told I needed surgery in a 5 minute appointment. Dr. Riff is one of the most knowledgeable and communicative doctors I’ve ever seen. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and made sure I was comfortable with every step of my care. Highly recommend!
I received arthroscopic hip labrum tear repair from Dr. Riff. In office, you can expect compassion and understanding of your situation and a desire to fix what is going on. In regards to surgery, Dr. Riff’s confidence and professionalism gave me peace of mind while being in surgery and that post surgery recovery will be successful.
My visit was great. No waiting. The nurse, xray technicians, doctor and physicians assistant all communicated effectively and concisely. The procedure we decided on has already provided relief and the entire visit lasted just over 30 minutes. I’m very pleased.
