If an ankle fusion has been suggested to you, I know how much doubt that can bring—I had plenty myself. But what I’ve learned is that the ankle affects everything above it: the knees, and even the hips. Since having my ankle fused, people keep commenting on how much better I’m moving around. Honestly, I’m surprised myself at how much better my knees feel now. I even managed to climb to the top of a volcano and ride a horse in Iceland!
