Great surgeon who gets better-than-expected results to restore function to his patients. He successfully repaired a big, old rotator cuff tear to my right shoulder 19 weeks ago. I had my concerns as I am almost 70 and also have minimal use of my left arm, and so I really needed to regain that right shoulder function to do stuff and stay active. Dr. Markwith is an exceptional surgeon. Having never had such a major surgery before (shoulder) I was very nervous. All my concerns went away with the calm, compassionate approach from Dr. Markwith and his staff. Everything was explained in a clear manner and I felt truly cared for both pre and post surgery. From my first visit with Dr. Markwith until my final post operative, he and his entire staff were attentive and compassionate. He listened to my feedback and offered informed responses. He thoroughly explained the minimally invasive surgery that he recommended for my situation. His conservative approach to my situation was greatly appreciated, and led to a shorter recovery period. Dr. Markwith is the best doctor I have ever had. He’s a perfectionist. He takes his time and explains everything. I’m very lucky to have had him as my surgeon. Even the people that work with him, including his nurse is amazing. I was reluctant to have surgery on the Cape, but I’m glad I did. I highly recommend him. I wish he could do surgery on other things that I need. . I appreciate all he has done. Just go talk to him and you will be impressed.
