I’m so happy I was placed in the hands of Dr. Shapiro. I was sent to him after finding two abnormal masses in my breasts. He did biopsies on both of my breasts and suggested moving forward with surgery to remove both masses. I got a second opinion from a renowned surgeon in Jupiter. After getting that opinion, I was never happier to stick to working with Dr. Shapiro. ***UPDATE!!! After posting the original review (below), we received a phone call around 8:30 PM regarding our concerns. While we appreciate the outreach, contacting patients that late in the evening to discuss a Google review felt inappropriate, especially after what had already been a stressful experience. Unfortunately, the conversation reinforced many of the concerns that led to this review. It all started with: “One day at a time, and we’re going to take care of you.” That’s what Dr. Shapiros told me, and he’s kept his word. I feel like he’s the person on the medical team who has taken the best care of me he’s approachable, kind, and compassionate. He tries to understand cultural differences with empathy; he’s attentive and, above all, an excellent professional. He saved my life. I love you all (Dr. Shapiros and his assistants, Liz and Sher). Dr. shapiro is the best surgeon! He was so great with my son who has Down Syndrome and was anxious about having his gall bladder removed. David did extremely well and completely recovered in two weeks.
