I came to Dr. Porges 12 years ago with acute inflammation throughout my body, I could barely walk and could not use my hands. I didn’t know what happened to me and was in tears when he walked into the exam room. He was comforting and kind while he explained what Rheumatoid Arthritis is, what causes it and the treatment options available. No complaints about the doctor but having to wait 6 months for a visit as a return patient is absurd.
This doctor saved my life. Twenty years ago I got sick and was getting sicker and no one could figure out what it was. I saw him and he suggested I go to a clinic in the city that focused on a rare disease which at the time almost bo doctors had heard of. He was right it was what I had. For years when insurance wouldn’t cover treatments he fought hard until they did. Stay up nights researching my disease to give me the best treatment possible. He’s funny and such a nice guy.
