OK Hospital Unfortunately the emergency room wait times are pretty long here. It is in a relatively underserved side of Tucson and a number of homicides and shooting occur nearby but it is not a level 1 trauma center so most of those traumas are sent to UMC. The burn unit here is the best in Tucson though. They have had problems in the past with changing tubing on certain colonoscopy devices which may have exposed certain patients to infectious risks. Overall, if you need to go here then do it, if you can wait then try elsew... read more

did excellent job Had diagnostic test and surgery; no complaints. ER wait can be long, though. I didn't agree with the above reviewer; obviously except for ER (luck of the draw anywhere) you go wherever you like your doctor.

A pleasant, helpful staff and a beautiful hospital. I had surgery at Emanuel just a few days ago and I was treated with such love and care. Everyone from the volunteers, nurses, staff and especially my doctor were pleasant and kind to me. I loved to walk up to the front door and see the big statue of Jesus who Emanuel Hospital is named after standing right by the front door. On the wall right as you walk in is a big sign "Emanuel, God With Us". That is what the name means and it was so comforting knowing I was about to have ... read more

reliable help My daughter has been in this Hospital eight times in the past two and half years with severe GI problems. The ER staff has always been very quick and loving. There might be two occasions where there was a problem, but was always very quick to be worked out. When you have severe GI problwms as a young adult. The last thing you want is to be in the Hospital. There are actually GI patients who aren't out to seek pain meds, but are really sick. We have come along a 7 year path with this illness and really feel this... read more

They Took Good Care of Me I have unfortunately experianced more of thei hospital than I would choose to, but they took very good care of me. An illness several months ago caused me to visit their emergency room and eventually be admitted to their Intensive Care Unit. The staff and doctors were courteous and did their best to keep us informed of what was going on. My wait in the emergency room ws incredibly long, particularly when they were trying to find a bed for admission, but unfortunately, I think that is pretty common. ... read more

Really nice hospital. This hospital has been here for years and it is constantly being upgraded and modernized. The staff that we have dealt with were all amazing, the doctors are great. My husband received excellent care here and my one trip here was to the emergency room, a visit which went very smoothly. Their radiology department is very good and a great place to have your mammograms done. The staff in radiology is nice and helpful and does their best to make this procedure as comfortable as possible.

Patient I came to the hospital with chest pains. They took me in and took my vitals, blood work, and xrays; then brought me to an observation area where I was hooked up to a monitor. After about an hour the doctor came in and told me that I had to be admitted over night. Then she left without saying anything more. After waiting there for 4 hours and women came in and said that my co-pay was $1,100.00!!!..."Sir? How would you like to pay for that? Cash, credit, or check?" I said what? I'm on medicare disability! I don't have ... read more
