Dr. Berchuck is an AWESOME doc and was my surgeon. I highly recommend him.
When my wife had a major operation Duke was our first choice. Dr Berchuck operated on my wife and after the operation briefed the family comprehensively on how the operation went. We are now 5 years on and thanks to DrBerchuck and Dr Chino the radiologist and staff we are able to enjoy our lives after what was a very traumatic period in our lives. Dr Berchuck has a dry humor and has been excellent in his ongoing care for my wife. Dr Berchuck skills and devotion to his patients is unsurpassed and we are extremely grateful.
I live in Virginia and my main interaction with Dr. Berchuck is when he oversees my bi-monthly clinical trial visits to Duke. I LIKE this guy. VERY calm vibe. Dry sense of humor. He seems to have a natural instinct to get to the basics of what a patient is feeling. And when I ask him questions in my rather bouncy and convoluted style, he understands right away what I'm "getting at" and responds clearly and comprehensively. And his calm energy is very contagious! 5 stars.
