Dr Osterlund has been super helpful in investigating and helping me find the next steps for a number of medical issues I’ve had over the years. She is attentive and thorough. When asked to explain her thought processes and how she’s developed her approaches, she always takes the time to help me understand the “why’s” based on current research and available resources. I appreciate her care.
Andrea Osterlund has been my doctor for years and while fortunately I only see her annually shes efficient and straight to the point. She listened to my list of concerns and reassured me and also gave great feedback and easy instructions to follow for someone showing signs of insulin resistance. I'm a long time KP patient and have met with many doctors and specialists over the years. However, I've never met someone like Dr Andrea Payne Osterlund. The interaction was awkward and I felt like I had to guide the interaction because her answers were short and followed by long pauses. After reading other reviews about her, I agree with their sentiments that she struggles to 'connect' and empathize with others. I’m new to Kaiser and work in healthcare as a registered nurse. I can’t say I’ve ever written a bad review before, but this has been one of the worst doctor visits I’ve ever experienced. I only wish I would have read all the reviews before choosing her as my PCP because my experience was almost identical to some of the others.
