I would never recommend her.
Dr. Jewell supported me through one of the scariest times of my life. In August 2022, she was my surgeon for stage 3 ovarian cancer. She was an amazing surgeon. I completed chemotherapy post surgery and I have just passed year 3, cancer free. Thank you Dr. Jewell and the KU team for!!

Andrea Jewell, at KU, was very dismissive and condescending. She told me my type of cancer is typically a stage 1 and recommended I leave my ovaries. She examined me but not thoroughly. She said it would take 5 days to get the scan approved and 5 days for results. I was in extreme pain and she left the room, but the nurse stayed with me. I went to Sarah Cannon and Dr. Chapman examined me very thorough, got me in for a pet scan that day, showed me the tumor off a video she took with her phone, and scheduled my hysterectomy fo... read more
