Get directionsLive Music and Mediteranean food – Andies Restaurant has new live music on Saturday night! They arrive around 8:00 until 10:00. Acoustic eclectic jazz to background a good meal. This is at the Clark location, a block north of Foster. Enjoy the live music, great service and fresh food!
customer for 13 years – it hurts to see some of the reviews of this place from people that have only been here once. i'll be the first to admit to writing a place off for all the reasons listed in other comments, but as someone who has been going to the montrose location for years, i want to clear something up. this is a family owned and run operation that, just like a family, has had its good times and its bad. but you can't beat the unmistakeable honesty to the place. it's evolving through small changes to modernize while ... read more
Really Lousy – Nice employees, really fabulous homemade pita. Had the incredibly sour (vinegar), rubbery sauteed calamari appetizer; inedible lambshank; couldn't distinguish it from the potato-- that's pretty bad, huh? All in all a waste of money and an affirmation of why I am no longer friends with the person who recommended this place. Do not bother exccept for the fabulous pita and, oh, also good couscous. But we don't go to dinner for these things, do we? Forty bucks down the drain.
Great Couscous – I love Andie's. My husband & I have gone there with an Entertainment Book coupon on 1/2 off wine bottles night and have had a great dinner for a low price. Plus the staff always gives us more coupons for next time! I love how the manager always checks in on us and how someone is always waiting by the door to thank us for our business on the way out. My favorite dish is the vegetarian couscous. The little pebbles of couscous are larger than I've had at other restaurants, and it has dried fruit in it. Andie's ... read more
interesting... – we had an entertainment coupon for $10 off, so we tried it. it was a very, very strange restaurant. the floor felt like it was going to cave in anytime people walked by (even from across the room you could feel people walking) and the busboys and hostess looked BORED. one was listening to her ipod. the food was good, but nothing exceptional. i ordered the 3-meat kebab and was able to subsitute beef for lamb for a dollar extra. not worth it. i couldn't even tell it was lamb, it just tasted like bland beef. th... read more
Don't get the falafel! – We ordered carryout from Andie's on Montrose tonight. I got veggie platter #3 (dolmas, falafel, stuffed artichoke, and the potato chops) and my husband got the potato kibbie. The kibbie was great, as were the potato chops and the stuffed artichoke. The dolmas were average to pretty good. The falafel, however, were horrid! The insides tasted as if they had not been cooked at all -- they looked fried, but the inside was just raw chick pea batter! I might go back to Andies for some of the other interest... read more
Andies SOUTH is Better – Been to this one ON MONTROSE at least a dozen times as well as the one in Andersonville (on Clark - next to Reza's and across from Ann Sather)... yeah the person above is confused... ...and prefer this one MUCH more. There is parking, larger tables and an intimate and quiet, smoking section downstairs, the food and service is better, pitas are warm and fresh (not reheated and semi-crispy stale), and prices seem $2-5 cheaper than the other Andies. The grape leaves appetizer dish is definitely MUCH bet... read more
Love it here! – Finding a parking spot is sometimes hard around this restaurant, which is near Clark and Foster. The service here is always very friendly, although once we got stuck at a table near the kitchen. But the pita, onion, and olive oil appetizer keeps coming, the vegetarian dishes are great, and even my Mediterranean grandmother would be impressed with the fare!
