My Mom wanted to have a bagpiper at her funeral. We were lucky enough to have Mr. Steve Anderson accept that duty. He played beautifully. It was ethereal, reverent, sad, joyous, peaceful, and haunting all at the same time. Mr. Anderson played as the casket was put into place and then he walked off into the distance playing. Steve Anderson played bagpipes for my Mom's graveside service. For years she had said that she wanted bagpipes to be a part of her funeral. He played an amazing tribute as she was carried from the funeral coach to the grave. He continued playing next to her casket, and then walked away while still playing so that the music gradually faded away.
