I was at the Andaz with a day pass where I booked a cabana for a day. Where to begin: the staff is absolutely annoyed you are there. When I checked in for my cabana at the towel hut, 2 young men working pointed to a cabana and said “that one is yours.” No one escorted me to it, offered a menu, told me who the server would be, nothing. It took me tracking down someone after an hour to get service. The package said it came with a bottle of chilled champagne. It never came. I asked the server at the end about it. The hotel business is tough. Beautiful rooms, great location, incredible pools, and some of the service great…but you still feel like you overpaid at any price when their staff is spread thin and overworked. I like the laid back vibe of this place. The food is great. The views are beautiful. Even the beds are more comfortable than most hotels. They just need to sort out the poor service in their bars. (Morimoto is so good, not lumping them in!)
My spouse and I just returned from the most incredible honeymoon at the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort. From the moment we arrived, Nilma and the entire Hyatt team went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely perfect. The level of service was exceptional - every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in ensuring we had an amazing experience.
