I was doing the turkey trot from the Wailea villages on down to Kihei stopped in here for a little bit of an adult beverage and left my credit card. They tracked me down. They actually called me today and told me you left your credit card here come get it I was so impressed. This was our second time at Andaz Wailea. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and chose to return to Andaz. Service here is exceptional. Here are three examples of the impeccable service we experienced- 1) a plastic splash guard on our rental car came loose and was dragging. I asked Joey, a valet where I should take it to get it fixed. He and another valet climbed under the car and fixed it. He didn’t want us wasting vacation time at a shop! I was super excited to stay at this resort given all the ratings, and used up points (and purchased some points as well) for a 4 night stay. What a terrible use of points. I am at least partially relieved I did not pay the $900-1k rate!! All began at checkin, we were given a lei, but no welcome drink, nobody even offered to take our bags to our room, the receptionist couldn't be faster at checking us in, barely explaining the hotel grounds or amenities. An absolute nightmare of a stay at the Andaz Maui at Wailea. My wife and I were to stay at the hotel November 1 - 6 for both a work conference and our babymoon. We had booked a king bed room, and the reservation clearly states this, but at check-in we were told that for the conference that the conference itself assigns the rooms based on availability. We spoke to the conference person, and that was a 100% lie. They noted that Hyatt directly manages the reservation and the assignment of rooms. Ultimately, we waited an hour an... read more
